DCCX 2015

NEW FOR 2015 – We’re a UCI C2 Event!

Start times are slightly different this year for certain categories! Please check and double-check your start time.

*There is no longer a separate race for girls aged 9 to 18. U19 girls will race in the appropriate Category race (e.g., Cat 4 if you’re Cat 4, or Cat 3 if you’re Cat 3), but will be eligible for Junior entry fee of $15. Please e-mail us to receive discount code BEFORE you register. . 

Join us for two action-packed days of CX racing! It’s the venue you know and love. 

Races are on a traditional cyclocross course with pavement, grass, hills, gravel, man-made barriers, and one double pit area. See www.super8CX.org for full details on rules and regulations for series points. This is a Category 2 UCI and USAC event held under UCI regulations and USAC permit #2015-2539. DCCX 2015 will be held rain or shine.

Directions: The Armed Forces Retirement Home is located at 324 Rock Creek Church Road NW, Washington, DC 20011, near the intersection of Rock Creek Church Road and Randolph St.

North of DC: I-95 S to I-495 W. Exit 31 (Georgia Ave) towards Silver Spring. Pass Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Turn left on Upshur St (just after 4200 block of Georgia Ave). 

Turn right on  Rock Creek Church Rd, and then left into AFRH at the Randolph St. gate.

South of DC: I-95 N to I-395, stay on to end at New York Ave. Right on New York Ave. Go two blocks and turn right onto M St. Left at second light onto N. Capitol St. NW. Continue past the sign to the Armed Forces Retirement Home. Left onto Allison St. Left onto Rock Creek Church Rd, and left into the Randolph St. gate.

The Marine Corps Marathon is on Sunday, October 25th- please takes this into consideration if you are traveling from the south.

Parking and Team Tents- There are 3 Parking lots, please follow directions to the appropriate lot.  Please park only in designated area, and not on any roads. Parking is free on site for competitors and spectators.

UCI-only parking– closest to the pit and start area on the North end of the venue. UCI racers/teams may set up tents in the UCI parking lot or in designated areas near the Pit- no registration required.  Available to UCI racers and Support on a first-come, first-served basis.

Main Parking Lot–  Adjacent to the course on the Southern edge of the venue.  Available to all racers and to spectators who require easier access to the venue. A limited number of reserved tent spaces with adjacent parking are available on the DCCX BikeReg page. 

Over-flow parking–  Additional parking approximately 500 yards from the Southern End of the Venue.  Available to spectators and to racers. A longer walk, but easier to drive in and out.

Bike Wash stations:

-adjacent to the double  pit

-on the North end of UCI parking (near the gardens)

Rider staging for UCI C2 Elite Men and Women: Riders will be called onto the start grid by UCI points, then by randomly assigned bib numbers. 

Rider staging for non-UCI categories: Riders will be staged on the grid, by bib number.  Bib numbers will be assigned according to Super8 series rules (see www.Super8CX.org) All day-of registrants will be staged behind pre-registered riders.

All riders must be at the staging area behind the start line at least 10 minutes before their respective start time to ensure orderly staging. Late riders will be staged at back of pack.

PLEASE REGISTER AT BIKEREG.COM (additional fee charged by bikereg.com). Online registration closes Wednesday, October 21 at 9:00 PM. No refunds. UCI racers must register in advance – there is no “day of” reg for UCI C2 Elites.

Licensing Requirements

The UCI Elite Men/U23 Men, UCI Elite Women/U23 Women must have a current International License. A domestic USAC license is acceptable for all other categories.

Annual and One Day USAC licenses may be purchased at www.usacycling.org and will also be for sale at the registration booth. Only Cat 5 men and Cat 4 women can race on a one-day license.

NOTE ON RACING AGE:  Your racing age is your age as of December 31, 2016 (not 2015). Racers must be 9 or older.

One-day licenses are available for $15 on race day and via the USAC website. An additional $10 fee will be charged for adult entries purchased on race day, if available.

Note:  There will be no separate payout for the U23 Men and U23 Women racing in the UCI categories. All races except UCI C2 Elites count for Super8 series points.
