History

Founded in 1997, DCMTB is a grass-roots team of urban mountain bikers. We participate in a variety of mountain bike and cyclocross races throughout the mid-Atlantic region and in national ultra endurance events. We are a registered USA Cycling club team.

But we’re not just about riding and racing. DCMTB put in hundreds of hours on behalf of cycling-advocacy groups in the DC area, such as building new trails with  MORE and promoting biking in the urban environment with  WABA. We meet monthly to discuss and plan upcoming races, group rides, trail maintenance, and team trips.

DCMTB hosts DCXC a cross-country mountain bike race and co-promotes DCCX, one of the largest cyclocross races on the east coast.

DCMTB, Inc. is a registered 501(c)3 organization.
